How Can I meet with a Librarian?

Scheduling a meeting is easy from the appointment page:

Select Where you would like the Meeting to take Place: In Person / Online

Choose a staff member, type of Meeting, Date & Time

Fill out the Form and click confirm

Zoom meetings can be made anytime, a confirmation email with link will be sent users email address.

Physical Meetings can be made for the Lancaster Library Branch during Research Help Hours.

  • Meetings will take place at the Research Help Desk
  • Arrive promptly for meetings, checking in with the staff members at the Circulation & Information desk.

Types of Meetings Available:

Quick HelpDuration Max 15 minutes

Quick Help sessions can be virtual and are reserved for students who have a question or need basic library instruction or directional help.

Research Instruction: Introduction Duration Max 30 minutes

Introductory Research Consultations can be virtual and are reserved for students who need a brief overview of library related tools. (Searching for Materials, using databases, research guides or faqs)

Research Instruction: Advanced Duration Max 45 minutes

Advanced Research Consultations can be virtual and are reserved for students who need an in depth instruction. (Researching a specific topic, Database Help, ect...)

Faculty Support Session: Duration Max 60 minutes

Faculty Support Sessions can be virtual and are reserved for employees who need in depth library instruction, help with library linking in canvas, research guide creation and other library related needs.

Library Information Session: Class Duration Max 60 minutes

Faculty can request an Information Session. Sessions can be either virtual or in-person for their class. Provide us with information like What would you like your students to know or be able to do to complete the assignment?

If Requesting a Library Information Session, please provide the following information:

  • Department
  • Course name
  • Number of students
  • Describe your research assignment
  • What would you like your students to know or be able to do in order to complete the assignment
  • What time does your class start
  • Classroom location
