Do I have to agree to the new EBSCO privacy policy?

Answer

UPDATE 1/20/2021 :

Why am I prompted to review EBSCO's privacy policy before creating a personal My EBSCOhost account?

CLICK YES, This step is only precautionary on EBSCO's end because we subscribe to an authentication company NOT owned by them. EBSCO legally has to cover themselves as we no longer subscribe to their authentication software.

I'm sorry as it appears that currently personalized SSO account users are required to consent to EBSCO's Personal Data Retention and Usage practices.

You may have noticed that you are no longer able to login into your EBSCOhost account “Personal Folders” without agreeing to their privacy policy. EBSCO is changing its policy to be in compliance with the stricter regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You do not have to use EBSCOhost personal folders to access the library’s digital resources. You would simply forfeit the convenience of using the personal folders you’ve created in EBSCO.

Here is the link that explains this policy in more detail: EBSCO's privacy policy.
