How can I find reference articles?
Answer
Instructions to look for Reference Articles
- Go to the library page and click on Databases under FIND.
- Click on "C" and select Credo Reference.
- This is a database of reference eBooks. It has educational, psychological, etc. encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, etc. One example is Gale encyclopedia of Children's Health.
- Do a search on your topic (such as dyslexia or sensory processing disorder) and you will find many long, excellent articles from specialized reference books.
- As you start looking at the articles you can begin to gather information on your research topics: etiology, characteristics, identification procedures for the disability or learning issue that you are researching and the instructional implications for the teacher and student.
